Welcome to Bold Habit Quest Coaching! Hi, I'm Megan Wilcox. It's good to have you in my self-growth community for gamers. I'm excited you discovered my passion project (turned full-blown coaching practice).
I believe that we're wired to love fantasy, and I think we can balance it healthily with reality too.
The main goal of BHQ is to equip gamers with the mindset, resources, and support they need to love life (offline and online). So whether you feel helpless, hopeless, or are trying to help a loved one, I want to help you get unstuck and move forward with confidence.
BoldHabitQuest.com launched in early 2020 after overcoming my video game addiction and transitioning my career to health coaching for gamers. So if it's your first time here, I've created this page to curate some of my very best resources to get your adventure started.
IS HEALTH COACHING A THING?
The short answer is yes. People have been increasingly hiring coaches to provide structure, support, and accountability to help them reach a wide variety of goals in life. In addition, doctors partner with us for patient support, and employers now offer us to employees for well-being.
IS VIDEO GAME ADDICTION A THING?
The short answer is yes. Medically the World Health Organization (WHO) now recognizes Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD) as a mental health condition. Video games, like anything else when not used in moderation can cause consequences for yourself and those around you.

LEVEL THREE: START YOUR ADVENTURE
For me, it's time to treat life like the open-world adventure that it is.
Explore it, fail at something, re-equip myself, and try again. That's what we do in-game, right? So let's learn how to reconnect with people, nature, food and see how strong we can become.
I found that it's addicting, just like collecting achievements and skill points for your character. We all start as noobs, but we can quickly improve our talents if we try. Warning: Requires going outside of comfort zones.
